Day 1: Monday 5/1/17

My day started off at 8:30 in which I was shown the classrooms that I was going to be working in. I spent the morning shadowing the teachers in the classrooms age groups of 4 months to 18 months. I was introduced to all the babies in that room. I met Owen and Hadley which are two faculty kids. I spent my morning learning their routines. I learned what time they do snack, lunch and nap. I also had a chance to help put them to sleep and play around with them. At around 12:30 I went to lunch. I then went back to the Inn at 2:30. This time I spent the time upstairs with the three year old classroom. They were just getting up from their naps. She explained to me what the kids normally do in the afternoons. We then continued to help the kids put away their nap time things and went to the carpet to have story time. After that I helped take out their lunch boxes where they then had snack time. After that they had the rest of the afternoon to play around. I read books to many of the kids along with doing coloring with them. I finished my day at 4:15. I think on this first day I really enjoyed everything I did but I do think that I want to focus more with the older kids, I enjoyed that age group more. I spent 5hrs and 45 minuted on my project today.
